Pakostane

Pakostane is one of the smaller and less known places in Croatia, but is an ideal place for a pleasant vacation. In Pakostane there are several sandy-pebble beaches, right near the town center as well as a far quieter beach in the coves beneath the pines. This place has everything you need for a pleasant vacation, shops, restaurants and cafes, pharmacy and post office. The cozy atmosphere of the place provides the true feeling of the Mediterranean. Pakostane has a rich nightlife on the terraces with live music and dance and several discos.

Pakostane is a small place that offers mostly private accommodation. In the place there is a great choice of accommodation in apartments, there is not a single hotel here, and a larger tourist complex offers only Pine Beach Club Pakostane.

Pakostane is located 8 km south of the town Biograd na moru, not far from the Adriatic castway and the highway. 35 km northwest of Pakoštane is the city of Zadar, and 40 km south-east is the town of Šibenik.

Pakostane is placed between national parks in northern Dalmatia, so it is a good choice for those who are interested in visiting the national parks of Kornati, Krka, Paklenica and North Velebit and Plitvice Lakes. Do not forget to visit and explore the historical Dalmatian towns Zadar and Sibenik, full of historical monuments and Mediterranean ambience.

For all fishing lovers a great attraction iz lake Vransko jezero with boating water and various species of fish and birds. Vransko Lake is also a favorite destination for cyclists who enjoy the newly constructed paths with educational boards. The nearby island of Vrgada is also popular with its sandy beaches, where you can find peace for relaxation.
