Beaches in Pakostane

Pakostane has neat pebble or sandy beaches in pleasant bays and steeply entering the sea.

Pilatuš beach - a sandy but pebble beach with tiny stones attracts many bays and shadows of pine trees. It is located about 1 km northwest of Pakoštane town center.

Bužakovina - a beach with shallow sand and shallow water suitable for children is located in a deep bay 500 m west of Pakostane.

Punta - a sandy beach with sand dunes is popular among families with children and thanks to its vicinity to the center of Pakostane. The beach is in concrete places.

Janica 1 - partly sandy and concrete beach is located in the center of Pakostane town. Pure sand ideal for children is also located in the sea.

Janica 2 - a long pebble beach for those who enjoy a quiet cove without the overwhelmed beach, is located southeast of Pakostane.

In the vicinity of Pakostane you can use several smaller coves that provide enough privacy in the shade of large pines.

For swimming on the sandy beaches it is worth to come by boat to the island of Vrgada, which is about 4 km away from Pakoštane and is connected to Pakoštane by a regular line. Beaches can also be found on Vrana Lake, which is 7 km north of Pakostane for the Adriatic Main Road. The main beach is right in the camp near Vrana village. Pleasant refreshment offers a local restaurant. Swimming is possible in the narrow channel Prosika, which connects Vransko Lake with the sea.
