Zrmanja river

Zrmanja is one of the most famous rivers of Croatia and is about 60 km north of Pakoštane. Zrmanja springs in the southern part of the Lika region below the Poštak plateau and flows into the Novograd Sea below the Giant. For millennia, the Zrmanja River has made its way to the sea in the abyss with numerous waterfalls and cascades, an unforgettable experience for every visitor to the region.

Zrmanja is sought after by active athletes, who are tempted to go down the river with waterfalls, waterfalls and the 10-meter waterfall Visoki Beech. In the village of Muškovci, a 15-kilometer trail starts in a beautiful unspoilt nature while rafting and canoeing. However, during the summer, the water level is low, so Zrmanja is only suitable for kayaking.
